I personally dont think that you should have to remove all clothing for a physical .If your Doctor request that you fully undress tell him that you are not comfortable with his request.All the best with your examination.
I never had to do that for ground school! You may have to when you apply for your license but it usually only entails a cardio and blood pressure check. You will need to provide medical history also. Best to you! ;-)=

Usually, the furthest you have to get down to is your underwear; quite often it isn't that far though.
If you wear shorts and a t-shirt to the physical the chances are good you won't be asked to take anything more.
(Guys usually do have to drop their drawers for a minute or so and 'cough' so the physician can check for a hernia.)
