Well, it does mean to pre-judge. That's why I don't understand how not liking certain groups for actual reasons (whether anyone agrees with your reasons or not) is called prejudice. If you don't like white people, for example, I would assume that you've met quite a few and have your reasons. It would be prejudice if you'd never met any and decided that you didn't like them anyway.
