do you realize that in order for it to rain continuously for 40 days, the air would be so humid you would literally drown from breathing, and not even an ark could save you?
Not necessarily. This is the first time rain was ever recorded in the Bible. The climate was different. Let's face it... it seems the whole planet is covered by sedimentary rock... something happened?
The air has nothing to do with it... look at the people over in Bangladesh. They have monsoons all the time and don't stop breathing. Further... we do not know if there were other factors that aided this flood. Good book for you. "The Genesis Flood" by Dr. Henry Morris of Great Britain.
There are a number of problems with the flood story, and the water question is one of them. To fully inundate the planet would require a billion cubic miles of water, which is four times as much as exists on the entire planet. So where did it come from, and more importantly, where did it go?
And if we get all our rain from evaporated ocean and sea water , wouldnt the water level stay the same or at least close to that? Now if he burned up the world by fire or melted the polar icecaps , then maybe Id believe him
