YES, Eric, I DO support same sex marriage. My adult Son just entered a "Union" with his Partner a yr. ago. I am so happy for him he has someone who cares about him & brings him happiness. I KNOW it is NOT out of choice, but rather a gene they/he was born with. This IS the way God made them! I'm a Christian, I truly believe this. We all think the world of his Partner & they have always gotten along fabulously. They don't argue over things, instead they compromise. I've often said if more marriages were like theirs, there would be fewer divorces!! I feel EVERYONE should have the choice of who they choose for their life's Partner...best to you...:)

I absolutely do. I have like 4 homosexual family members and a few close friends that are gay and I believe that if any other them want to get married one day they should be able to. What are the defenses? It goes against God? Nobody should be forced to follow one set of religious values and that should include marriage laws. It's unnatural? PLENTY of unnatural things are permitted in society, JUST SAYING. It'll reduce the number of children and extinct the human race? We have tons of teenagers getting knocked up and it won't make a difference. Why else shouldn't same-sex marriages be legal? All men/women were created equal so why doesn't that include gays who want to get married?!! It's their right. Prop-8? Once again with religion.. It shouldn't determine whether or not people who love each other should get married. This unconstitional law against it is ridiculous.It's BULL-S.. That was my rant..

I support same sex marriages which are legal in New Zealand.

Everyone has a right to life and a right to choose who they live that life with. End of story.

If you can't accept their choice then it is you that has an issue not them.

We have both male and female couples who are our friends and we just get on with our lives and so do they. We do get a lot of looks when out to dinner however when we are the only straight couple among 3 gay couples - we find it hilarious

Yes, I do. It is ignorant not to. The people who oppose it our ussually conservatives that feel like it is "unholy". I am not gay myself but I do have friends that are and I love them to death and it is disgusting to see how badly people treat them. Very sickening.

Also it is a right (in my book, since it is illegal in most places.) You can't stop love. And love has no shape, gender, or race.

Unreligious reasons: People think that it is just nasty. Very unlogical for why they hate it. Just cause they feel that everything they do is right and it is "abnormal'(psh act like normal even exists). Baisically they are arrogant people.

^this has to be the MOST ignorant thing I have ever read. It makes no sense that if two people who love eachother so much can't get maried cause YOU believe in Christianity. Them getting married does not send you to hell people! Ps: want to make a point in life you have spell words out!

If someone is in love with the same sex-

I do not find it wrong; we are all meant to be with someone; if, it is not the other sex then it is the other. It is the way it was meant for it to be. Even though they say that God, is against the gays but, in my heart I do not find the 100% true though. He is the one who has it in the book of stone on who we are going to end up with so, I see it that way when it comes to the ones who want to be with the same. I myself am not that way though- but, if you choose to be with the person then so be it. Just as long as you are happy and that person treats you well. Also, just as long as you use protection is all that matters- you want to play it safe now days

Yes ! I support gay marriage ... However I'm christian and I'm not gay... but I believe and support it because I feel that everyone has the right to love and beloved by anyone same sex or not... some of my church friends don't agree with me and they dis me and say it's between a man and a woman... but I don't care what they say.. god loves everyone the same.. I see it this way ... love comes in any shape or form .... does'int matter how you see it... most of my friends are gay.. and they are good people.. alot of religouse people don't support gay marriage and they shun them they discriminate.. and to me those people arn't true followers because they judge... I'm not perfect no one is.. but people that judge and discriminate others rights and push religion on them arn't anymore godly then the pope ... let everyone marry who they really love no matter who it is... ! some church folks say to me I'm going to hell because I'm not a follower of god... but I just smile and say I love god .. however if I go to hell I'll see you there.. :)

My twin brother is gay, he always has been since I can remember. Also I do consider myself a christian. I very much believe that he has just as much right as anyone else, but I do think a civil union is more appropriate, which is about the same thing.
