It depends on how sensitive you are down there. They have some cream called "No Scream Cream" that you can use that is kind of numbs the surface a little bit so it doesn't hurt as much. It is kind of embarrassing at first but there is no need to be embarrassed because they see a lot of private parts in their jobs and I'm sure yours is not much different than what they have already seen thousands of times!
