I have to get a root canal done tomorrow. Does it hurt? It's going to be done on my front left tooth because it's dead from taking a baseball to the face.
Pro tip: Always look forward or else you'll get hit with a baseball in the face when you turn back and hits you a tenth of a second later lol.
I've heard it hurts, heard it doesn't, heard it hurts a little. I know everyone has it differently, but what is the average amount of pain? If it's even a little, I just want to be ready so it doesn't hurt as much. Oh yeah, I also HATE needles. Just bad experiences lol. At least there are many people who hate them too.
Btw, I'm 15 if that matters at all.

I was about eleven when I started getting a pain in my back molar. It got so bad that I'd wake up crying at night. I ended up going to the dentist and finding out I had an infection in my tooth that needed a root canal. I was terrified because I didn't know what was going to happen.
Basically, they drug you up pretty nice so you don't really remember the pain. So that answers your question, yes, it hurts at some points. You will go in, get drugged for awhile and then the dentist comes in and will put a God-awful "raincoat" around your tooth to protect it from the other ones. Then he gets to his work.
It hurts at the points where they are going into the root and measuring and what not. I can't really remember what happened because I was drugged up so much, but I do remember pain at some points that made tears come into my eyes and roll down my cheeks. Plus I tasted the medicine they put into my tooth for months afterward.
It hurts maybe a six out of ten at those points. For me anyway
