Coffee never bothered mine but, canker sores are painful and I finally found a real easy and cheap way to get rid of them. Get a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and use it full strength from the bottle to wash and rinse out your mouth. Don't swallow any, and it doesn't taste great either, nor does it Hurt, but, you will get rid of your canker sores in about 2 or 3 rinses over 24 hours. Worked for me and I used to get them all the time too!!
Yes. The acidity of the coffee as well as the particles (food included) can further irritate the sore. Rinsing your mouth with water, hydrogen peroxide, or salt water can help wit the healing process. Canker sores suck.

I have a lot of experience with both, and I don't find much of an effect. If anything, I would say the coffee would have a somewhat negative impact.
