i've heard it can cause them is some cases but fade the appearance of/prevent them in others. i'm slightly confused however, because exercise results in weight loss, & isn't that a factor that causes stretch marks too?

it reduces the chance/appearance of stretch marks because u get more toned and your skin tightens up. but if you loose a huge amount of weight then you will get more stretch marks and extra skin!
I use Bio Oil and Cocoa Butter. I have still gotten stretch marks but I think using the above products has helped to keep them to a minimum. I find that if I don't use them for a couple of days the stretch marks look worse so I assume it's helping =] All the best xx

yes exercise will give you stretch marks in certain places, but according to your age, as your muscles and skin become more firmer they should tighten up and disappear.
it goes according to your age, because as we age our skin loses its elasticity. and stretch marks become permanent.
