@Thomas. hey... lay off the new guy. he's doing okay for now, proving he at least has a larger set of cherries than the last guy (doesn't drive around in Priest Lightning, the bullet-proof pope-mobile) and is actually making some pretty good reforms towards ending religiously fueled tension in the middle east...
Sure, he's christian/catholic, and so not to be immediately trusted, but he's actually doing something... so I like to think he's not guilty until he's done something bad.
Whatever the Pope does is the correct way because the Pope is "God Almighty on Earth". The Pope is the only one able to intercede with God for humanity. Everyone knows that.
"We hold upon this earth the place of God Almighty.” from the encyclical of Pope Leo XIII dated June 20, 1894 AD.
"The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in Heaven and earth." Pope Pius V, quoted in Barclay, Chapter XXVII, p. 218, "Cities Petrus Bertanous".
"The Pope takes the place of Jesus Christ on earth...by divine right the Pope has supreme and full power in faith, in morals over each and every pastor and his flock. He is the true vicar, the head of the entire church, the father and teacher of all Christians. He is the infallible ruler, the founder of dogmas, the author of and the judge of councils; the universal ruler of truth, the arbiter of the world, the supreme judge of heaven and earth, the judge of all, being judged by no one, God himself on earth." Quoted in the New York Catechism.
-Writers on the Canon Law say, "The Pope and God are the same, so he has all power in heaven and earth."- Barclay Cap. XXVII, p. 218. Cities Petrus Bertrandus, Pius V. - Cardinal Cusa supports his statement.
.-Pope Nicholas I declared that "the appellation of God had been confirmed by Constantine on the Pope, who, being God, cannot be judged by man." - Labb IX Dist.: 96 Can. 7, Satis evidentur, Decret Gratian Primer Para.
I observed this in the information lol some have been incredibly ticked off over it! the finished "that's offensive" element got here into play then. yet, it quite is their maximum appropriate to do regardless of they desire.... And, "rituals" like this (and specific, this may well be seen a ritual, joking or no longer, it continues to be seen one), are good for people who could desire to disconnect from their "previous" life... It had the comparable result for them as baptism does for some christians. Psychologically.
