..My school started out like your school, I'm sure...just generally trusting the kids to dress appropriately. Then they had to start enforcing rules, mainly because girls simply would not be modest..

They had rules against holes in jeans above the knee (girls would walk in with gaping holes in the upper thigh/buttox area, even revealing underwear), too-low tops (even then, many girls did not follow this), and too-revealing tops in general (open necks, or even strapless tops)..

Just dress like a respectable young lady, and that will gain more respect and appreciation than you'd realize, and will also ensure that you won't get called out by the school officials.

I think all public schools in New York City do. We can't wear any type of pants or skirt that is more than two inches above the knee, but lots of girls wear short shorts in the summer & no one seems to mind. We can't wear spaghetti straps, tank tops, halter tops, or see through clothing unless we have something underneath. & yeah, that's prob. it.

Most school's have one, They are usually in the handbook.

Mine is very long, No Uniforms, It just basically states that We cant wear Suggestive Content, and Our Cloths can't be too Short, ect.

yes kinda but its nothing major. for one we can't wear spaghetti straps or strapless tops and we can't wear skirts or shorts that are shorter then ur finger tips like u have to be able to put ur arms down and ur shorts or w.e can't be shorter than where your hands end and that's pretty much it and if you wear a jacket u can get a way with wearing a strapless top or spaghetti strap

oh and also we can't were inappropriate graphic tee's

No it doesn't. I'm a freshie too.... the people at my school don't go crazy, like wear suppppper short shorts or spagetti strap tank tops that show everything

ya in my school you can wear:

tops: polos with no designs at all(has to be solid color), you are allowed to have a little logo on the side, and polo can be any color, tank tops and undershirts are ok as for layring is ok too

bottoms: kakhi,navy or black pants are allowed, skirts/shorts have to be at the most 3 inches above the knee.

Yep. Mine's no spaghetti straps, and all shorts/skirts have to be past your middle finger, plus no backless shoes.

I'm a soph. And my school does but I wear shorts that are about an inch or so below my butt and te rules say mid thigh. So I would just see wut other grades wear
