I am planning on making a Christmas cookie bouquet for some of my family for XMAS. I look on the website Pinterest for some ideas and recipes. Does anyone have any recipes and tips to share with me on how to make them? (This is my 1st time doing this). Also are there any other homemade xmas gift ideas that are easy to make? I'm not trying to be cheap but I want something made from the heart. MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I've seen a couple of really great cookie bouquet ideas on Pinterest!! (Oh, Pinterest... That's where most of my Christmas gifts will be coming from this year!)
I've never made one either, but I'd definitely try to focus on large, sturdy cookies (Because who wants a cookie bouquet once the cookies have all crumbled!!?) - The ones I've seen are usually big, iced sugar cookies. (For icing - it's just a blend of confectioner's sugar and a couple drips of water, and then you add food coloring! It dries really nice and shiny!)
If you need other homemade gift ideas, I'd check out this website: http://laurathegentleman.hubpages.com/hub/Christma...
I'm definitely going to try the throw pillows for my mom and maybe the magnets!!
Good luck and Happy Holidays!
For me personally I get excited with personalized gifts rather something just bought for the sake of it,
My wife loves making me personal notes and poems with gifts which I enjoy much more than the actual gift,
Some ideas below,
•Write a song, short story, or a poem if you are a good writer.
•If you love to sing and you have a good voice, you can record some of the recipient’s favorite songs and burn them in a blank CD
•If you have a garden in your yard, you can always pick some fresh flowers and put them in a vase or basket.
•You can also get a small pot of plant which the recipient can display in his or her windowsill.
•For people who are sentimental, you can always create a scrapbook, You need to gather photos, ticket stubs, souvenir items, and other things that will remind the recipient about happy moments in his or her life
•If you know how to make a quilt, this would be a great gift idea especially for babies
