Kind of hard to do because your bike has a 180 degree crankshaft, meaning one piston is going up while the other is going down. Old Brit twins used 360 degree cranks, meaning both pistons went up and down together. That would make using a twin lead coil easy since the two plugs would both fire at the same time while one was on the TDC (top dead center) power stroke and the other on the TDC exhaust stroke. Try that on your bike and you'd have one plug firing on the TDC power stroke and the other on the BDC (bottom dead center) intake stroke. You'd still have to use two sets of points and even if you didn't have problems of wacky ignition timing, the coil dwell (saturation) time would be uneven.

Instead, why not just use two old style single lead automotive coils, use hose clamps to attach them to the frame down tube, use larger automotive condensors mounted remotely with the OEM points. Gap the plugs to .035" and you'll have easier starting, less plug fouling, better high rpm running and probably better gas mileage.

what you should really do is get an aftermarket electronic ignition set up.The bike will be easier to start,more reliable,and gain about 1000 R.P.M.I am pretty sure Dyna makes one for that bike.I have the dyna S on my panhead and on my 71 Honda C.B.750.
