How do I get a new power cord made up?
Someone recently gave me an old sewing macing, which doesn't have the power cord to connect the machine & foot pedal to the wall socket. Is it possible to get a new one made up? Or does anyone know where I can find these kind of things? It's an old Husqvarna 3600.

Electrician, and the suppliers. You may need to keep trying with the electrician. There are appliance repair centres and electricians working there have more experience in the area.
Quite often the type of connection is what is called an IEC connection. See this link for at least some help with identification.
