I find that the majority of my writing that people consider 'funny' is something that barely registered when I was writing it, but grew naturally out of characterisation and plot (for example, two characters having an extremely loud political debate while one of them was up a tree in a public park... and the other standing at its trunk. It made sense in context, which is why it worked so well).
Humour is very hard to force in, and almost never works unless you have an inherently funny concept to begin with. If you don't, don't worry; those silly situations and entertaining one-liners will work themselves in, one way or the other ;)
it is very hard to incorporate comedy into stories. One good way is to have a funny character. And there are several types of funny. Dry humor, dark humor, silly humor, ironic humor, stupid humor, sarcasm. Just put in something funny when your writing is writing dry. Use the scenery, another character, anything. I doesn't have to make someone laugh. Just lighten the mood.
if ur going to write a thiller than all you have to do is make light of the situation like ur alomst making fun of it i had this problem once so trust me and where i got the idea was stephen kings IT that book has a lot of helpful hint on how to write
i always do this!!!! first it depends on your sense of humor. the humor i use is similar to The HitchHikers Guide To the Galaxy. its more of a witty-sarcastic humor. its subtle but it made me laugh out loud. like for example: Artur woke up. "Hmmmm....yellow..thats nice." he thought. "Bull dozers are yellow.." At that secomd he ran out side and laid down in front of his house. (the yellow bull dozer was going to wreck his house. theres more detail in the book) or for example: " Hey, i'll give you a kiss if you let me copy your homework!" she says. He says no, and later on says "holding up to my standards was way better than fine gold and silvr." (your thinking: but she offered him a kiss! not gold and silver!!!!) it made people laugh when i brought that out. idk. but it all depends on your sense of humor. hope this helped!!!!!
