I get really bad cramps the first day of my period. Last time I had my period, I got cramps so bad that I would have to stop what I'm doing, and just bend over in pain. I also threw up twice, and had diarrhea. I'm starting school next monday, and it never fails that whenever I don't want my period to come - it comes. What can I do to prevent myself from getting cramps (and all the other symptoms that go along with getting your period).

I take ibufrophen it really helps me it is the only thing that helps me. It reduces the swelling of your abdomen. Try it and see if it works for you.
Unfortunately nothing. There are a few things you can do to alleviate the pain. First when you're home use a heating pad. Put in on your lower abdomen where you feel the cramps and lay low. When you're at school try Thermacare heat patches. You can get them at walmart or any store like that. They have a sticky side that sticks to your skin and you can feel the heat thru them. They're not as good as a regular heating pad but better than nothing. Also, try midol or pamprine. Those used to work for me but I took them so much they don't work anymore. Motrine really works for me I take 2 200mgs and my pain is good for a couple hours. Also if it keeps up see your gyne. If you're not on birthcontrol he/she may put you on some to get the pain under control and it does really help. Also, there may be other reasons your pain is so bad during your periods so that's another good reason to talk to your doctor. Being a woman sucks I know but unfortunately that's all the tips I have for you. They work for me and hopefully they'll work for you.
Good luck
I used to suffer real bad with period pain and i found if i took an evening primrose tablet everyday i never used to get crippling cramps every month and would get mild ones which i could then take 2 nurofen or something to make it stop. Also if your at home curling up with a hot water bottle helps a lot
Eat 3 bananas in the morning before you go to school, they work wonders. Also try drinking tea an the morning and having water in your locker to drink in between classes. If you can, possibly apply heat to the area.
Also try taking midol or pamprin through out the day if you can. Sneak it in your locker if the school doesn't let you have pills. Just don't get caught, hah. These tips have helped me a lot, and I hope they help you too.
Take some Midol or Pamprin
Use a heating pad
Eat bananas
But I really suggest you go on the pill. Your periods sound really bad.
Good luck :)
