We have this science research problem for school, and it's about finding out whether homemade drain uncloggers are really effective. It would be unpractical to use a real sink and real food particles because it would be almost impossible to measure. If you can think of a set-up where a sink can be simulated (even if it's just a clear pipe or something) and where a "clog" (made of... say, gelatin) is in said sink, then it would be really helpful. See if you can get ahold of some clear piping (you could find this at lowes or home depot... maybe even a dive or pool supply store), and then maybe to simulate food particles you could use a dough mixture of flour, water and salt. That way the "food" particles would be uniform and suitable as the starting point of your dependent variable.
