Don't have much detail but a relative just fractured her pelvis in a fall, she's almost 80.
Will this completely limit her ability to walk for the most part?
That's the worst fracture ever and at 80 is definitely life threatening .... !

Any pelvis fracture is serious and in elderly more common but also with more complication and longer recovery time.
It all depends on the general health and physical state of the person before the time of the accident.
Lots of older people have sustained this type of injury and led normal lives after a long recovery period.

A fractured pelvis is fairly serious, espcially in an older person. If she was pretty active and got around well before the fall, physical therapy may be able to get her nearly back to where she was before, but it will be a lengthly healing process.
