I am sure you would like to hear 'yes you will' or 'give it a go as you never know' but from your other questions a while ago I can see that you are riding or racing an older 250f so that says you cannot be racing at a high competitive level as a bike a few years old will in no way cut it with racing in 2012. Riders with any chance at making it have to have at least two brand new bikes each year and that is minimum as they get tired easily and the work to get them race ready is huge so unless you have deep pockets you will be behind right there. Besides these two bikes specifically for racing they usually have a practise bike. Clutches are most often a one use thing at pro level and so are tyres so unless you are on a team or have huge support from the supplies you won't be running the same tyres and you won't be able to change clutches often enough. Races can easily be lost at pro level as the clutch is slipping in a very small way on the start line. If you are not already racing at A grade level and don't know how to set a bike up or how to read a track then you have no chance at all. You may think you are good where you ride each time you do but that means nothing as the local top rider can often pull lap times similar to the pro rider just riding the track for the first time but pro riders will arrive at tracks they have never seen before and walk the track analysing the approach they will take to riding this track, they can also alter their riding during the day for the changed conditions as a track that has had 80 or more pros lapping around it is not the same later in the day as it is early. I know one pro rider who also walks the track after the race as he says he learns a huge amount from looking at the track afterwards. Also anyone asking on here if they can be pro riders in my opinion will never make it as most of them know where they are headed from 4 years old and if they asked anyone it would be high profile people in the sport that they already know from the contacts they have made over the years. A lot of mx is not what you know but who. This may all sound harsh but it is the truth.

I think I would just be thinking of that as wishful thinking. Most of the pro guys I know are polite to the many girls that approach them but are way to focused on what they are doing to pay much more than passing interest or if in fact they do you would become just another notch on their belt. Sure a ton of them have girlfriends, wives or are in relationships but full on fans are not those who they tend to choose to date.

Thing with pro riders is also any partner has to be completely into bikes and prepared to take a back seat to racing and training. Was at an event at the weekend with one of the wives of a pro rider she spent the day helping out in the pits as the day is totally about the riders. So unless you are more into mx and spending all your time at a mx track these guys are not dating material. They spend weeks and months going from one mx track to another to train and girlfriends have to sit back and see them only when they have time. They can be overseas for weeks or months at a time as well and girlfriends are not really wanted or required when they are seriously training.

If you insist on attempting to meet Josh then get a pit pass to the next mx round he is at but don't expect too much as on race day it is all about the racing.
