I'm going to mexico for 6 months and would like to purchase travel medical insurance - nothing fancy, just a "bare-minimum" plan that would cover any kind of medical emergency... Can anyone (from personal experience) recommend a good company to go with? I've heard that some companies are a nightmare to deal with while others are not so bad. The two cheapest policies I've found so far are from "Seven Corners" and "IMG" but I'm not sure about these companies... Thanks!
Update:i'm a us citizen living in europe (and not the uk so i can't get one of their policies either)

I don't know where you are from but here in Canada, you can walk into any bank and buy cheapo bare minimum travel insurance through the bank. It's usually about $20 - $30 for 7 days and covers all the common problems one might encounter on a vacation. Try going into your bank and ask a teller if they offer travel insurance.
Do not pick Seven Corners or IMG based on them beaing the "cheapest" - that is never a smart move purely because, the cheaper insurance is, the more exclusions and the less cover provided. Getting super cheap insurance is basically making the whole concept of getting insurance redundant, because you won't be covered for much. Additionally, the excess is likely to be ridiculous, so you will only be able to claim on real disasters - and as I said, exclusions will apply.
