i bought this dress online, and i love the color of it. i was thinking of wearing it to my boyfriend's prom in the spring, and dressing it up with some cool accessories. however, i'm not sure if it is formal enough.... i like the front of it, but it looks kinda lame from the back, and the material isn't really "formal". i would wear one of my old prom dresses, but they are strapless, and i wanted something with a back to cover the tattoo i have on my shoulderblade. so what do you think? if i accessorize it right, would this dress be prom-appropriate?
here are some pics of the dress:

Update:i'll definitely wear something under (too much cleavage without)
just to give you more background info, at his school (my old school), most girls wear short dresses...length wise this would work, i'm just not sure about the material

That's a nice colour, but I don't that it would be to wear to prom, I mean you could if you wanted to. But if I were you I would wear that dress just to go out and eat or something. Prom dresses are usually longer. I would suggest you wear something else, but then again it's up to you, wear anything that you feel good in :) Hope I helped
I think pretty much any dress can be prom appropriate with the right accessories. Get some hot, strappy shoes and you're set!
That is NOT a prom dress. Thats more of a buisness party dress.
Its beautiful! Not all prom dresses have to be frilly and full of glitter! You will look amazing.
Edit: Your cleavage looks fine, its not too much. You look good, wear what you look good in!
It's way too casual no matter what you wear with it. But its still a nice dress
I love it! I don't think it is necessary to cover up, you look great- just wear eye-catching accessories and you're set!
It looks more like business casual, if you like the color of it i suggest that you get another dress w/ the same color.
it's too open.. there's nicer out there. more formal.
i guess
but the front is showing to much
Please don't wear it to prom... just don't.... =/
