So, I was looking around the web today hoping to find something that would possibly make that time of the month bearable (sometimes when I get my period it hurts so bad that I throw up) and came across something called progesterone cream. I've already tried Midol, ibuprofein, pamprin, acetaminophen, heating pads, herbal tea, and everything else, doesn't help. Does this progesterone stuff work? Is it healthy for teens to use? Do you need a doctor's prescription for it?

i dont no about the stuff you are asking about.
My friend went to the doctor about period pain and they gave her tablets which have helped her a lot you should try doing that.
Progesterone is a hormone sometimes found in birth control pills. I would imagine that the cream would also be available by prescription. Since your cramps are so unbearable you should probably go to the doctor. She could give you birth control or prescription pain killers that are stronger than what you've tried already.
I don't know about the progesterone stuff, but when I was a teen with REALLY bad cramps, my mom's gynecologist put me on birth control (not because I was having sex), but because they help regulate your period and help with your cramps tremendously! But if you don't want to be on birth control, there are other medications doctor's can prescribe to help with cramps. My mom takes one of them, just can't remember what it's called.
