Nostalgia is ignorance?
Nostalgia has been annoying me lately. For instance, me and my friends were talking about what is better GameCube or my beast of a pc. It's almost obvious it's my pc yet they say GameCube because of the good times in our childhood. Also, people complain about Eminem's recovery. It's still good but people don't like it because it's different from his old style. Anyone feel the same way?

Nostalgia is not ignorance. It may be a desire to return to an easier time or at least a more comforting one.
But it is generally a response to stress. Change is the primary source of stress in people's life so we desire less change. It may not be for the best but we still want less change. So something we associate with the past that has not changed is desirable if not truly best. This is also why many people prefer Momma's cooking. She may not have been the best, but she did not change and that is comforting or de-stressful.
