Im using proactive dark spot correcter, for one or two barely visible dark spots but i noticed on the container it tells you "limit EXPOSURE to sunlight"

and I believe this product uses a bleach substance, why exactly is it that they tell you to limit sun EXPOSURE when using this product?

is it because it will like lighten your dark spots or like darken them more then you want them or what because it
