Talking with him online ? He is lying your going to feel bad and say i don't want you to do that. . and he's going to be like okay well i just want to see you. Are you sure who this person is . . You know people pretend to be a certain age or a person there not. . and behind the computer there probably a pedophile. . but either way tell him there are places he can go to receive help and numbers he can call.

Just be there for him. Make sure he has a strong friendship to fall back on and i know this probally sounds cliche but tell a trusted adult. Someone both you and him trust. Just point out that life isnt all about girls and how he is young and just spend a night with him playing music and jsut talking. what he really needs is a good friend right now

I DO know how other so called humans can be, mean and condescending but that s no reason to alter you body with a knife You were given what you have why let what other people say take it away from you? Stay by him. Just because he can't reach her doesn't mean he's lost her. I'm sure you already told him this, but anything could have happened. Stay by him and keep comforting him, and get him help ASAP. If you can't, tell someone who CAN help him. He may need therapy, especially if he's planning to kill himself over a girl he;s never actually met.

Reassure him that you'll be there for him, no matter what.

Tell him to calm down and that he will probably hear from her soon. Reassure him by suggesting reasons why hes not hearing from her all of a sudden for example maybe her computer is broken. Tell him not to jump to conclusions and that killing himself will not solve the problem and instead it will only make lots of other people sad.And just try to be there for him and listen to him as much as possible.

First tell him that it is NOT WORTH IT to cry/be sad/kill himself for a girl that HE MEET OVER THE INTERNET.

Try to hang out with him in places with a lot of people and especially a lot of girls. Always response his calls/ texts since you are his only good friend...

If you see that it is just getting worse than please talk to an adult. Forget about the teen idea that teens don't talk to parents for their stuff. IF IT REALLY IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM TALK TO AN ADULT AND TELL THEM TO BRING YOUR FRIENDS TO A DOCTOR!!!

Your friend needs to call a therapist or suicide hotline. He has never even met this girl in person and he is that upset....that is not right at all. Take him seriously and get him help ASAP.

You have to tell an adult about this. Suicide isn't the answer. He only knows this girl over the internet, who knows- she could actually be a 50 year old man.
