I am the commish of a league and there have been some not so fair trades that i have passed through in the past. should i pass this one? it is brian westbrook for maurice jones-drew and steve smith
I wouldn't allow it unless the side trading westbrook put up another solid player. Doesn't have to be a stud, just something to even it out a little more.
Your job as Commish should be to enforce league rules and officiate complaints, not determine whether or not a trade is fair and balanced. That should be the job of the league members who should vote on every trade. I don't think a trade should be vetoed unless there is clearly collusion on the part of two owners or an owner is trying to raid the last place team who is completely out of contention. Short of those two circumstances you have to assume that both owners are trying to win and should be allowed to do what they think is in the best interest of their teams. Voiding a trade because it appears to stack another team or because it makes your competitor better is a loser move. All that said, this is clearly a fair trade by any measure and should be allowed.

WHY would you veto this?
Jones-Drew shares reps and doesn't score as much as Westbrook.
basically the guy wants a WR, I'd bet the person receiving SMITH already has good RB's
That kinda depends on how the teams are stacked up. I would personally pass the trade though.
