So, my ex's dad passed away...?
He was always nice to me...anyway, I'm going over there, just to give my condolences...the problem is that other people (like the (*%)$%&^of my 'ex' best friend who slept with my ex) will be there, and I just don't want to deal with them...to tell you the truth, I don't even want to see their faces again in my life!...but...I have to go....
right?

Will your ex's mom be there, or someone close to the deceased that is important to you.
I get the fact that his dad was nice to you and important, but if nobody else in the family matters then don't go, send a card. His deceased father will not know whether or not you went to his funeral. Condolences are strictly for the living, and if you don't care about the rest of them, I wouldn't go.
