I'm thinking of getting a tattoo on my wrist and i need help finding a quote!

I want something on the lines of " Every cloud has a silver lining". I also saw a quote recently by Oscar Wilde which says "We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars". To me, it has the same feel to it but also can be translated into something like "better yourself, aim high" but wasn't sure on the word 'gutter'...

Any thoughts on the above and ideas would be appreciated!! I would prefer some thing fairly long rather than a couple of words as the tattoo design i have in mind kinda needs it!!
