Actually, some plastic bags do taste good to kitties. There are oils used in the process of making the bags, and some types of bags use fish oils which are attractive to cats. It is best to not let them eat the bags, you could end up with a hefty vet bill.

2 They like the taste of things used to make the bag
3 They use the plastic like we use a gum to clean our mouth they chew it and swallow it to scrape away hair balls and things in the throat and then sick it up so it doesn't get digested
