The ONLY word in the Bible that was not translated into English but was transliterated was the word 'baptism'. If it had been fully translated it would have been fully immersed, but the people translating it were sprinklers, not doing what was right.
Jehovah has over 8 million worshippers Worldwide in 271 lands and He is the one who confused man's language and preserved His Divine Name in whatever language they speak including English.
They follow the example of the inspired NT writers.
In the NT, when quoting from an OT passage containing YHWH, the Greek word "kyrious" meaning "lord" is used instead (Ps 110:1; Mt 22:44). Therefore translators are also comfortable translating YHWH as "LORD" too. Often in the preface they explain their translation process of the tetragrammaton. For whatever reason, the HS inspired men to transliterate OT names into the NT such as "David" and "Joshua", but not YHWH.
Just like the Bible itself, translating the Scriptures and God's name into many languages makes spreading the good news of God's kingdom and God's means of salvation in all the earth to all peoples easier for them to read and understand just as Jesus commanded. Go therefor and make disciples of people of all the nations. And this good news of the Kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.
English Christians might say 'God' - last time I checked, German Christians used Gott. I think what you might mean is... Why Do People Speak Their Own Language?
