Parents remember what they got up too in their teenage years, so they judge their teenagers on their teenage "crimes" I do the same with my teenage son and it's really not fair but I was such a rot in my teenage years! I'm not now I'm older and wiser. Say this to your mum, "your only judging me on what you got up to not what I actually will do!"

I still remember being a teen and having that same kind of issue with my parents. I wanted more freedom with out more responsibility and my mom told me that freedom comes with responsibility. If I wanted to be trusted to do certain things, I needed to prove to my parents that I was responsible enough to handle the extra freedoms. Parents are strict not because they want to ruin your fun, parents are strict because they care for their children and they don't want them harmed in any ways. And teenagers are still technically children until they leave their parents' house in my opinion. (Of course, only after they are legally able to do so.)

Your mom's probably worried that since theres only 2 girls and 2 boys there overall, something could go wrong. You probably wouldn't do anything, but she might be afraid of rape. < which, yeah I know if effed up since they're probably your friends. And by being "independant" I think she means that if your friend is pressuring you to go, and you don't want to, < which i'm pretty sure that you do want to go, you shouldn't go. But she thinks your friend is making you do this. << yeah durno i'm also 14 so.. just guessing.

because some parents are stupid lol but they normally have you at heart but yeah i'm afraid you'll have to stick at it till your 16 then you can make her see your point trust me lifes not so bad =)

They just miss there babys and wish they wasnt teens already D=
