Canada, in terms of sheer land, is larger than the United States, but its population is only 30 million, while the US population is over 300 million. Why is this so?
I think its the geography, wildlife and climate of the place that makes settling there less desirable in large numbers.
On the other hand UK has 60 Million and look at its size its a temperate climate hardly any snowfall or mountains no major natural disasters or large animals.
So it has to do with the geography climate and wildlife of that place also it looks depressing over there
Because the winters are terribly cold. I only live a few hours away from the States and I can't stand the cold here. The further north you get, the colder it is. That's why Canada's population is mostly concentrated in the south, close to the border.
That's just the way it is. Manhattan is around 13 miles long and 2 miles wide and it has a population of about 1.6 million. In area, many suburbs are larger than Manhattan.
Lol. OKay, well you guys are really close to central america. we have no countries surrounding us other then america. so its really easy for people to come into your country. yes it is larger then the us, but the territories ( North West, Yukon, Nunavut) are cold, and only a few people live there. Wow, i never really noticed how the us is populated more then us.

You ever experienced -40 degree celsius weather???
A lot of the north of our country is an arctic climate. Not as many people want to live here.
It's cold and much of that space is not an easy place to live... sort-of like North Dakota.
