So I have these really comfortable bras. I really like them but my mom is making me tighten the straps. Its not like they fall over my shoulders or anything, but they give me room. Now, my mom is sewing them shut to give me the least room possible. They cut into my shoulders, and I can't stand the feeling.
So how can I get used to it?
I cant ask my mom to change it, she'll scream at me.

Show her some breast cancer research and she will cool down. Did you know that when a woman wears a bra that its strap and band are too tight actually cuts down circulation and damages the glands in the area which with time can cause breast cancer. It is very important to wear the right size bra.
bra straps are supposed to sit snug NOT tight on the shoulders this is to prevent then from cutting or digging into your shoulders since this can cause back problems.
You bra band < which goes around the waist should sit on the middle hook to prevent over stretch, though if you buy it new try to go for the first or middle hook never the tighest hook this means it will over stretch in a months time and you lose all the support.
The band also should sit slightely parallel to the bust so a little bit going down, if it it pulling up it means the straps are TOO TIGHT and need to be losened this is why their made adjustable because womans horamons change from month to month so we need the ability to be able to change them
if your mom needs any more assuring of this go to LaSenza and ask a sales associate to show you how to properly wear a BRA and how the straps should be before she sews them. I got a shock when i ask and learned that i had them to lose and was wearing the wrong size which this can even be the cause of breast cancer as well their saying becasue the cup digs into the breast or offers it no support.
If the bra is disconferting like Painfully disconferting then it means its too tight and will cause you more harm then anything
here are some links you can show your mom

the second link is the best with photo representations of what i mean
Yo... they're YOUR bras, you're the one wearing them. You can't wave a wand and make something more comfortable, because honestly, a bra with straps are too tight is one of the worst feelings. Tell her that she either let you wear your bras how you want to, or just don't wear one at all and see how she feels about that.
What on earth is wrong with your mother wanting to sew your bra straps into a position that she thinks is appropriate? She shouldn't even be worrying about it as she isn't wearing them.
Fight or no fight, I would argue with my mother over something that crazy because there is absolutely no logic to what she wants to do.
