DEPO PROVERA SHOT HELP!!?
hi i am 17 years old and i just got the depo shot yesterday..
i am wondering if i will gain weight? i am not overweight at all i weigh 120 pounds and im 5'4'
my mom has had it before when she was young and didnt have any side effects, will it be the same for me?
i really really do not want to gain weight and feel insecure about my body. any ways to keep that from happening or will it even happen at all?

i had it when i was about that age.. but i cant remember if i gain/lose any weight. also BC pill makes ya hair fall out or grow. and i cant remember if it did either one of those, because i didnt kno the side of effect to the depo... but different ppl get different side effects.
I'd say your mother was lucky. I had Depo when I was 21/22, and I did gain what eventually turned out to be 20 pounds. You can exercise a lot, but I don't know if it''ll help to stave off the weight gain that comes from messed-up hormones.
