I went snowboarding 3 days ago, when my nail was bent back and detached from the nail bed. It remained attached at the base, where it grows in. I did not remove the nail, aside form the tip so it does not catch on anything. I bandaged it up, and have been keeping it clean. My thumb is a still swollen and stiff. What concerns me most is that the tip is numb. There are no signs of infection: aside from bruising its not red, its not hot, nothing like that. Is the numbness normal? Anybody have this happen?
