I have toe cramps all the time and I'd like to know what I do that causes them and if there's anything to stop/prevent them. I'm not athletic at all, so I don't play sports or anything. I do pop my toes a lot, so maybe that has something to do with it..? Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks!

Popping joints doesn't cause arthritis or pain. That's just an old wives' tale that originated because popping them is extremely painful for people that have arthritis. Take Advil or Aleve to help with the pain.
Your shoes might be the problem. If the arch is too high or your shoe is too narrow, it will pinch the foot and create pain in the feet, ankles, legs, hips or even the lower back. Tennis shoes or cross trainers are the best ones to use. Make sure when you buy them that the arch isn't resting against the bottom of your foot. If you can't afford new shoes right now, you can always try padded inserts but that won't be quite as effective.
Dehydration can cause all sorts of problems. It decreases circulation and that causes problems in the extremities first. The further away from the heart the blood gets, the less nutrients and oxygen it carries with it because it's all been sucked up before it gets that far. Since there's not much blood flow in the first place that amplifies the effect. Start drinking lots of water and sports drinks like Gatorade and PowerAde For now, absolutely no soda, caffeine, energy drinks, tea, coffee or alcohol. Juice is fine.
You may have a vitamin deficiency. Iron is at the top of the list because it will cause anemia. With less oxygen in the blood, it will cause the same effects as dehydration for the same reason. A vitamin B deficiency can do the same thing since it's necessary for nerve maintenance and repair. D, C, potassium and calcium can potentially cause the same thing for various other reasons, but I doubt you want me to go into biochemistry to explain why. Start taking a full vitamin once a day, preferably after dinner since it can upset an empty stomach. If this is the problem it will take quite awhile to show improvement so don't stop taking them when you don't see immediate results.
