Cutting yourself is not at all the answer to any problem that you may be experiencing.You really do need to tell someone, whether its a counselor, a doctor, or a parent....Someone needs to know! You also need to analyze who your true friends are, your friends should be there telling you that you do have a serious problem, but it obviously seems like they're not... And Yes you do have a serious problem that you should seek help...immediately!! Before things does get worse..

Your screen name is an acknowledgment that you know you have a problem. Anytime you need drugs, alcohol, food, cutting or anything else to get high on or to bury emotional pain is ALWAYS a problem and the fact that you are hiding it means that it is, more than likely, a shame based problem.

I don't know what has happened to you and being so young but this is a problem that you can't handle on your own and asking this question on YA, is showing that it is concerning you and need some advice or some direction. Please tell your mom so she can help you or if you don't feel comfortable telling her, tell a counselor at school and let him/her help you. This is a very serious problem and I am sure you don't want this to be a lifetime problem. Please think about this seriously and tell someone you trust and find a healthier way to relieve the emotional pain you are feeling.

don't you now that if you accidentally cut a vain in your arm you could bleed to death and die?

if you thin about that then you do have a problem

you should either tell someone or just stop doing it

i barley even have a family my parents fight every night, the police come to our house a lot

my dad takes drugs, he could have almost overdosed, hes not sane, my brother and he don't get a long,

my mom has panic attacks, im squished in an apartment and i sleep in the living room, i hardly have any friends anymore, and on top of all of that we are struggling at the end of every month to eat, my mom gets a check at the beginning of the month and for the rest we are on our own, and im only thirteen, you'd think that i would wanna cut myself to get rid of the pain but i just deal with it,

Regardless of how many times you cut yourself it's a problem. You should definitely seek help for this. Admitting to yourself you have a problem is the first step. Tell someone you trust, for example your Mum, or a teacher? It's important you try to deal with this problem.

You really need to get some help for this, it is a very very serious subject.

I have cutting urges too. And yes, it is a serious problem. You need to seek help immediately. Talk to someone who can help who is closest to you. If it is hard to talk to your parents, talk to an older sibling, or another friends parent. School nurse, counselor, anybody.

Any adult will help you get the help you need.

Yes sweetie, that is a problem. The reason why you're doing it is to cover up some sort of pain. It's your drug, like alcohol. But it's harming you more than helping you or actually masking the pain. Please, please, please speak to someone about it. Even if it's not your parents, tell someone you feel close to or even someone you don't know as well, so that they can actually help you. There is an underlying issue that cutting yourself is not going to fix. If you would like to talk further, please, please email me.

Its not relieving pain...you are just getting used to it.

You are not helping yourself in anyway.

And there is simple test to know whether you are doing anything wrong or have some preoblem...........

obviously if you have to ask then it's likely you already know you have a problem. cutting is unhealthy and damages your body not only physically but mentally. you need to get help before it gets worse.

yes its called self harm .i used to do it when i was your age .Its away of re-directing emtional pain by feeling it physical instead.Get some help go see your doctor and you can see someone who deals with this type of disorder, and help you talk about and deal with your problems in a better healthier ways.

i started to do kickboxing and it helped me alot

well wat does cutting yourself do? it doesnt help. it may forget about things but now u have 2 worry about the cuts which is more paun...u need help my friend
