So I'm 17 and will be turning 18 soon. My problem is that playing football, it slowly took a giant toll on my body (i was very injury prone). Theres minor aches around my body from serious injuries that actually do fade away for the most part when i take ibuprofen but the one that won't go away is the huge pain in my lower back. It starting getting there when I was 15 and this past season I took a face mask straight into my lower back and the pain still won't go away . I thought with the offseason my body would have a chance to recoup but its still a struggle to stand for a long time, to sit down (without slouching a lot), and to even lay on my back. The only reason Marijuana came to mind is because when I smoke it , it actually does alleviate the pain and I sleep so much better. I really just don't want to ask my doctor about it if I'm completely out of line. So should I ask? I really don't want to mess up my liver with constantly popping pills.
Update:And I can't do certain workouts in the weight room because I fell like my back is going to snap in half

As soon as I read "I'll be turning 18 soon" that's when I knew that you'd be qualified
Once you're 18, then yeah you'd qualify. You can get one @ 17y/o with parental consent.
I wouldn't recommend asking your doctor about it though. Instead, make an appointment with a doctor that actually specializes in assigning pot cards. You can find them by simple googling 'medical marijuana doctor' + your location. Here in Cali they have doctors in every major city. You'll typically pay $100-$150 for a 1 year long card. To help prove your case (even though truly anyone can qualify for a card) you might bring in xrays + doctors/coaches notes/recommendations that acknowledge you're in pain.
I've heard you can get a card by saying you can't **** right yes u can get one
