I was wondering: When a nurse gets sick and goes to the hospital (same one they work at), do they need to wait in the waiting room like everyone else or do they get called in right away? etc. the flu
What about for doctors who get sick and go to the hospital?
Thanks.

i have never been bumped up the que as a nurse in my hospital only when i was really ill and in extreme pain.
doctors are treated the same if they go to hospital but most of the time they already know whats wrong for them and just go to the chemist for drugs to cure themselves.
no real pitty party... i know there have been times when I have gone into the ER to talk to the doc about labs I had done several days prior or whatever and he'd bump me up and put me in a bed.... but those were time I was extremely sick.... Doctors usually don't go to the doctor for general illness stuff.... i know docs in the hospital can call the pharmacy and get what they want for themselves when they need it....
No it goes on priority, im a nurse and have never got preferential treatment ! We also tend to self diagnose which isn't a good thing !
