1. Yes. You are going to school to get an education not to dress inappropriately and attract the wrong kind of attention. However some schools are talking about banning yoga pants which i do not agree with. I think yoga pants are appropriate for school.I think kids need to know what is and what isn't appropriate. This is something that is important for almost every aspect of life. By teaching kids that it's okay to stretch the rules they will apply it to the work environment and look unprofessional.
2. I have never seen favoritism displayed by administrators when it comes to enforcing rules.
3. I would honestly just enforce a uniform. I know it sounds extreme but having a 'dress code' leaves a lot of grey area and it would just be easier to have a uniform. I went to public school up until high school and I preferred wearing a uniform because it was so much easier and I didn't have to worry about trying to impress anyone. I could just focus on learning. I know people think it takes away 'freedom of expression' but I expressed myself with headbands and shoes and that was enough for me and everyone at my school.
1. No
2. Because they pick favorites
3. No dress code AT ALL, I know that some people will probably walk around school half naked but it's their choice of how to dress not mine! Your body, your choice!! Freedom of expression/speech has school ever heard of that?!?!
