I'm not talking about pizza, i recently ordered a desk and it will be here soon, they say they put it where you want to, but i have no idea if i should tip them, should I?
No because it's part of what you paid for. They don't espect you to move it yourself. Just say thanks and that's all. My friends work for a furniture moving company and never get tipped.
If they do an exceptional job and have a great attitude - by all means tip them. My son works for a landscaping company and even though the order includes a delivery charge, he is often given a $5.00 or $10.00 tip, especialy if it is hot outside, or he has to do extra work to get the goods where the purchaser wants them.
I think it is one of the things that people overlook sometimes. I was a furniture mover for 6 years, and alot of people DONT tip. We all sat around at the bar one night philosiphizing about it-----You give your waitress a tip for carrying your food 10 feet from the kitchen, but you don't tip the movers that carry all your furniture-thats going to be by your side for the rest of your life-for moving all of this stuff in 100 degree weather up and down endless flights of stairs. yes, they deserve it, and well appreciate it, it would make our days, and we would talk about it for weeks on end!
I would call the service to see if they ALLOW their people to be tipped. Some places require their people to refuse tips. And then, if the service was good, tip away!!!
No... not at all - not unless they had to carry it up 5 flights of stairs and then you had to have them move it 4 times before it got to the right position.
i would if the person done a good job and didnt act like it really hindred his day to make a delivery to you,its nice to feel appreciated if you try to do good for others, some people just get mad if you don't and will mess you over the next time, either by damage or something.with a job like that they probably don't get paid well by the employers.

Someone else noted on another question something that pretty much sums it up - tipping is a way to express that you appreciate someone's service.
You're choice.

Look at your invoice carefully if there is a delivery charge then no - if not a 5 will be very generous.
If the service was good yes. I don't usually go tip crazy, but a few bucks just to show you arent cheap lol.
yes if it is coming from a furniture store and not UPS or FedEx. Also tip him if he is putting it together for you.
