My friend in Vancouver had it took an alternative clinic to find out that it was a fungus that caused it.

Before he went to an altnernative clinic, he took a pharmaceutical fungicide to address something else he had gotten on his foot from Africa, but it made his blindness worse and later, he found out that the side affect of his medical fungicide is "blindness" so that was counterproductive.
