My laptop is not booting up to windows.I ran diagnostics and it showed error code 2000-0147, error in optical drive.Whenever I start my laptop, it shows DELL logo and restart again and again doing the same thing.
Model: Dell Latitude D630
I also restored BIOS to its default but nothing happened. Also started without the optical drive but the result was same.

I ran a search on Google & followed up on reading the links for you so I could give you the short version.
First it says to remove the optical drive and replace it (possibly a loose connection caused the error code). That is easily done on the D630 - press the rectangular handle to "pop" it out while the laptop is turned off and slide it out - then replace it & press the handle back down into "installed" position.
Boot the laptop (use finger on start button and not combat boots on backside of computer) and see what happens. If it starts - it was a loose connection.
If it doesn't start - remove the optical drive and try running the computer without one in place.
Check Dell for the model number and eBay or Amazon for a good, used optical drive to slide into the laptop in place of the dead cd drive. You might even go to Dell.com and see if there is a model that will play BlueRay disks as well as CDs and DVDs while you're having to replace the thing anyway.
Order a drive from somewhere & run the laptop without an optical drive while you wait. Slide the replacement drive in and run Windows Update to get the drivers updated (if you're running Windows 7 - otherwise - run the driver scan on the laptop and get the driver off the recommended list for your operating system & download it to install).
