I have been using eyeglasses for a year now, but I feel uncomfortable when I use them. Can anyone tell me how it feels to use eye contacts, and how do you put them on, and off is it complicated.?
Do they make your eyes itchy?

Contacts can be pretty tricky at first, but it's totally worth it. You see much clearer and (I think, anyway) colors are brighter. Once you get the hang of it it's not tricky at all, takes me maybe 10 seconds. No, they will not make your eyes itchy, watery, red, etc. (Unless something is on it,like fuzz, which you would feel.) It's not at all how they portray it in movies or on TV. Lol.
Basically how you put it in is you hold your eye open with one hand and put the contact on the other. Typically it's best to put the contact on your index finger. Make sure it's flipped the right way though, or you'll have to take it out and try again. It should look rounded; almost like a half circle. You can look in the mirror if you'd like, but I think it's easier not to. Don't try to put the contacts directly on your iris. Look to the direction of your nose and put it on the white part. It'll go where it needs to. Just keep your eye shut for a second. Check that nothing is in it before putting it in. Your eyes will flinch and try to shut at first when putting it in, it's normal. It takes a bit of practice to get the hang of it. Mae sure you put a drop or two of saline solution on the contact before putting it in. You don't want it to dry out during the day, it's uncomfortable and harder to take out.
The only thing I have left to say is just keep telling yourself you can do it and try to keep the rate of frustration at a minimum. It IS tough at first but you'll get used to it. It's so much better than glasses! Best of luck to you. c:
Based on my own experience - at first contact lenses will feel like very fine sand in your eyes. Your eyes will be red and watery. After a few days that goes as your eyes get used to them.
I had 'gas-permeable' contact lenses for almost 24 years and although they were ok, after about 7 or 8 hours they slowly begin to slightly irritate they eyes and make them slightly red.
The best thing I ever did was have laser correction surgery. It cost me about £1,300 (about $2,030). Now I don't use contact lenses OR wear glasses - the eyesight is now virtualy perfect.
My recommendation - use a credit card that has 0% interest for the first 12 months on new purchases, get the laser surgery done then pay off the cost over 11 or 12 months and pay no interest. That's what I did
I love my contacts! I can't even feel them when they are in my eyes. And it's easy to put them in and take them out but your eye doctor will show you how to do that. And I have never had a problem with having itchy eyes with my contacts. I think you should try contacts.
