Every female is different, you have those fortunate people who bleed lightly for 3 days, and don't have any problems except for that fresh blood smell, (hence the many fragrant products), and the absolute obsession with chocolate. Then there are those that seem to get the lot 7-8 days, who I'm sorry to say bleed heavily and get the mother of all pain, accompanied by vomiting and diarrhea. So keep some chocolate on hand.
The main reason women are cranky is because they feel like ****, imagine you are bleeding from a deep wound, not life threatening but enough to make you feel dizzy, sweaty, queasy, etc. then you go into shock because your loosing this blood, don't worry you now have someone stopping your flow so you'll be ok...ha..ha. Anyway what you now will feel is a sweet tooth, sleepiness, irritability, you get the drift. So when a woman is classed PMT stand clear and understand she maybe peeved at you, but mainly she feels like curling in the corner and feeling sorry for herself, with good reason. Don't think it finishes yet, not only does all the above happen, but add to it swelling - often referred to as bloating, sometimes fluid retention, and now we get to this pain you've heard of,. I would describe it as a monthly appendicitis....hens the vomiting etc. all symptoms of shock.
What to do when this occurs, leave if she asks, always have a supply of chocolate or something sweet she likes (not all crave sweet things but be prepared if you don't know her preference), make sure you know where a vomit bowl is, and if she snags a guy who isn't afraid to shop for supplies (meds, pads, Nurofen plus and other) she hit pay dirt.
So if you want to simplify it, the body goes into shock due to the blood loss, and/or pain. Like I said not all women have a rough time but they are the lucky ones.
Periods occur because the uterus is contracting to expel blood and tissue. Period contractions are muscle contractions so if a muscle contracts for too long, it cramps. So yes, it can hurt but it doesn't always. No I have never wanted to die.
It is different for everyone, not girl has menstrual cramps.
In my case, it is different every month... For certain months, it hurts as if I've been hit in the area below the stomach by a bowling ball. Sometimes it's less severe.
well I heard the cramps are like hell! & they make you wanna die haha. I mean I've never gotten bad cramps, so I wouldn't know..but I guess the period itself doesn't hurt...its just...gross. (in my opinion) lol.
no lol they dont but you can feel them well at least i can feel the blood coming out if you have discharge u know what it feels like but on your period you do get cramps but some lucky people dont you mostly get back and stomach cramps treasure the time before your period!!!
