Okay so I'm having this problem with my contacts. I have terrible vision, (-4.25 in one eye, -4 in the other), and up until like 3 months ago, I had been wearing soft contacts since I was about 9. I'm 13 now, and I noticed that with wearing my soft lenses, my eyes have gotten increasingly worse (from -2 to -4 in 4 years) because of lots of up close computer work and stuff. In order to prevent my eyes from ending up at like -13 by the time I'm 20, my eye doctor wanted me to try hard contacts, because they preserve your vision, unlike soft ones. So I've been wearing them now for about 3 months, and I still find them really uncomfortable, and they dry out easily. I use eye drops 1-2 times per school day, but the problem is they still stay really red. I don't know what to do to prevent the redness. Like all my friends ask me "are u crying!?" or "do you have pink eye?" every day. It's so annoying, and I really really wish I could go back to soft lenses, but then my vision will get worse. Does anyone have any tips do get rid of the redness from wearing them?

Hi, I'm 15 and been wearing contacts since I was about well I'm a freshman now so whatever age 6th grade is. Lol but I wear soft contacts too and they have gotten higher in prescription over the years too, not as much as yours but it still has so we might be in the same boat. If I had to use to hard contacts I would just carry around a complete solution bottle (stuff I use at least) everywhere I go and use it when needed. Yes, it's a hassle but you have to adapt to what's happeneing because they're your eyes and you need to take good care of them! Also I would suggest to wear your glasses more and contacts less, but I never do that but it's an option. Hope this helped!!
Soft lenses don't make vision worse, it's what your eyes doing (growing) not your contact
