I was pulling into a parking space in my moms ford expedition. I just started driving it and I wasn't use to how big it was. So I was pulling in and I hit (might as well say tap) on a car. I park the car get out, check my side then the cars side, nothing. I knew it wouldn't be very much damage because I could barely hear it and it was against the plastic tail light. Teachers, bus drivers and students saw me because school was dismissed but no one stopped me. I just want to know if I should have really went into the school find the owner and go through all of that for nothing. I'm just worried I'll get into trouble for "hit and run" just because there were witnesses, even though there was no damage and I checked

If there was absolutely no damage there is absolutely nothing to report. Forget about it, just be careful out there.
No harm, no foul. What are they going to do? Make you replace the other guy's undamaged tail light? It's happened to most drivers.
If there was no damage, don't worry.
