I got a prompt asking if I wanted to have a theme for my email - I clicked on it and chose a theme. Now my email is totally screwed up! It won't tell me if an email is sent. After I click on send (which is now inconveniently down at the bottom and requires me to have to scroll down) I have to go to my sent file to see if it went through! It doesn't even say "sending" or anything.
This is taking forever! I hate it! I've tried and tried to find out how to go back and can't find anything! HELP ME!
Update:I tried changing "Launch" to "search" and it didn't work, just came up "page not found". It's a shame because I've had this email address for about 10 years. Now, I guess I'll have to switch to something else, as I cannot do business without being able to receive attachments and without user friendly email (all the problems taking so much extra time), I can no longer use yahoo. Guess I have no choice but to spend hours reading all the links sent by the yahoo tech. I have no idea why yahoo would change to not letting you know if your email was sent and no way to get attachments and not let you go back to the original email. Also, I was tricked into changing, as I got a "pop" up asking me if I wanted to ad a theme, not if I wanted to change my email that I've had for 10 years to some new confusing non-user friendly crap. I just don't get why they would do this to loyal email customers.

You can get back most of the good things from the old Yahoo. In the URL for your mail page change the word 'launch' to 'search'. So it looks like this (note: the xxx is for whatever specific mail server you are on, just change the last part of the URL):
xxx.mail.yahoo.com/neo/search
This puts you back into the Tabbed layout with the reply/forward buttons at the top and folders on the left. Then go into your Mail Options (via the 'gear' icon at top right of the page) and uncheck 'enable preview pane', 'enable conversations', and 'enable snippets'. You should now be back to as close as you can get to the old layout.
Then bookmark this new URL so you can go to it the next time you login.
Note: Basic mode only has the Preview Pane option, it does not have Conversations or Snippets (whatever those are). It also doesn't have the Tabs.
