The highest level of self-expression is the action, but watch your thoughts, for they become your actions. Of course that writing and painting are actions too, but there are concrete actions also which define a person, actions that have a stronger impact on someone's life and on his environment's life. In my opinion, poetry, writing, drawing, playing on an instrument, etc.- these are secondary actions. Search for primary actions, the ones which truly define yourself, because in this life there are more important actions that must be taken besides writing and drawing. Artists usually do great work by depicting the world and themselves, but in order to depict something, you have to HAVE something. The more you have to depict, the better. You don't have to give up depicting life, but make sure that you make your mark in life and for this you need to make your own purposes and to take the proper steps in order to achieve your goals.

Also, make sure that you choose your path wisely and then make sure that you stay on it. In order to be productive and creative you need to take a break sometimes and this is when the time comes for poetry and others, but when you need to get up and continue walking on your road then make sure that your actions will have a concrete and self-developing purpose.

I write songs and make songs I have tools on my computer to help me put songs together and I have some instruments to go with it.
