Take a tape measure and measure under the bust with the tape horizontal across the back. Breath out until there's no air left in the lungs and take a comfortable measurement. This number is your back size. Then take the bust measurement so that the tape just touches across the nipples. The cup size is determined by the difference in inches between the two numbers . ie. a = 1inch b = 2inches c = 3inches d=4 inches dd=4 1/2 inches and so on. this is only a guide you will need to play around with the brands to find out which ones fit best.
Measure completely around the bust at the fullest point, holding the tape measure straight but not tight. The difference between this measurement and your BAND size is your cup size. Each inch of difference is equal to one cup size. For example, if your band size is 34" and your bust measurement is 35", you wear an "A" cup.
if the difference is:
less than 1 inch = AA Cup
1 inch = A Cup
2 inches = B
3 inches = C
4 inches = D
5 inches = DD
While this method is generally reliable, every woman's figure is different and results may vary slightly. You should try several sizes and styles to find the fit that works best for you. Alot of big department stores will give you a free personal bra consultation.
Measure just under the breasts for the first number which is the bra size. Measure across the breasts for the next number. If the number is about 1" different = "A" cup, 2" difference = "B" cup & so on.
the number is how wide your back is and the letter is how big your actual chest is. you use a tape measure and go around your back (this isn't including the chest area) that's what number you are and the cup size you'll just have to try on bras for.
u measure all the way around, just under ur bust. then u measure over the largest part of ur bust. the first measurement, is just the size around, for the second measurement...every inch u are above the first measurement, u add a size
