But, that's because of all my crazy homework and time wasting on Yahoo Answers. Back in the good old days when I didn't have a job, hard classes, and Internet addiction, I could burn through at least 2-3 books a month. (Over 100 pages long).
Probably 2-4. Depends on how quick a read it is. (Just read all the Stephanie Plum novels -- quick reads. Trying to read World War Z -- taking longer, I feel like I need to pay more attention to it.)
usually i start reading a book saturday night, and up till sunday morning finishing it. probably about 4/5 a month. i shouldnt because i hav SATs and god knows how much homework, but i just love reading, plus it makes my writing better. win win. lol :)

Consume means to eat....But anyway to answer your question, I can't read now. Why do teachers have to give so much work?
I read around a 4 to 5 books in a month
Around 5-6, not including non-fiction. I have to read a book a week for my English degree, and I also get through one or two of my own choices.
If I include non-fiction, I read about 10 a month, mainly for my degree - but not usually the whole book, just one or two chapters of each, as needed.

Hehe. Kidding. Before my depression robbed my love for reading, I could read 20-30 books a month, no skimming, 200+ pages. :)
